If this is the Florence Kelly who appeared on What's My Line? in the 1950's she came on the same show as Jayne Mansfield, another stunningly beautiful blonde, when she first walked on the stage to sign in she received lot of whistles, and hand clapping from the audience, she also looked like Grace Kelly, and possibly could be her double for motion pictures. Miss Kelly was elegant, poised, and totally enjoyable on the show.

I don't defend the movie. I get what the director (a female of different culture) was trying to show with that movie. I know where she was coming from. People in their teens, especially when their parents don't really pay attention to them, may really degredate themselves and fall really low in behavior. I know because a) I was a teenager and girls in their early teens may get very mean and conceited, maybe not to the extreme shown in this movie, but it also happens; b) I was born in 2000. Our generation literally grew up with explicit vulgar rap and pop music with suggestive and sexist music videos (y'all remember 2013's Blurred Lines, Rihanna's nasty hits, Britney's Work Bitch and all the other nasty shallow shit?). On top of that, limitless acessibility to the Internet, porn etc. It was that bad that when this movie came out in 2020 (I was already 19) it didn't shock me at all, knowing what our generation has been growing up with and how low it fell. The worst thing is that all the main 4 actresses were 14 when the movie was released (actually a girl playing Angela was an exception, cause she was phucken 12!). Actresses could've been 15-17, movie still would be controversial and cancelled. Maybe if tye actresses were about 20 and the characters were stylised as high-school students instead of 11 years olds then maybe people would get the massage of the movie- that unsupervisored by their parents children can fall very low in the times of ubiquitous acess to everything. I repeat, I'm not defending the movie. Just thinking out loud. Hiring such young actresses who were still children was unbearable. Pretty sure people in real life cancelled the shit out of them, as much as of their parents.
